Trail Detour
Upriver Drive from Freya to Frederick: Starts August 15th through Spring 2012
This sewer project will create a detour for Centennial Trail users for almost a year. The Trail will be closed from Freya to Frederick Ave on Upriver Drive. There will be a detour in place and signage to guide users. See PDF at bottom of news page. The yellow highlighted portion on the PDF map east of Havana will be closed at times. Then please take the blue highlighted portion going north on Havana and east on Frederick.
Traveling from downtown east on Upriver Drive, take left (north) onto Ralph, to right (east) onto Carlisle, to right (south) onto Rebecca, to left (east) onto Montgomery, to left (north) onto Havana, to right (east) onto Frederick, which runs into Upriver Drive.
If you have a street bike please avoid the signed detour onto gravel road sections.
Be careful and enjoy your ride!
Washington State Parks Discover Pass started July 1, 2011
The CT trailheads in the Valley and City sections do not require the new Discover Pass, but all CT trailheads in Riverside State Park do require this parking fee, so please remember to post your annual pass and continue to enjoy this beautiful area.
Avista funds help repairs
Friends of the Centennial Trail continue their work with the assistance of an annual maintenance grant from Avista to fill the cracks by the Military Cemetary in Riverside State Park. With these funds we were able to fix another sixteen cracks that were causing angst to riders by Military Cemetery. We hope the crack that caused you the most issues was fixed.
